to the loving hearts! they are so fond of each other, they always snuggle close when they are sitting, so many times when i assumed that there was only one of them there were both, snuggling close 🙂
the interesting, fascinating part is their call here in hyderabad, here they often call “brishti hok (let it rain)” very distinctly! Every bengali will agree to me. After that bengali phrase they go English, and add “quick, quick” 🙂

A bookworm transformed into an addicted writer. I love to write and illustrate them myself. By love I mean love, no half-hearted relationship, a full-fledged, passionate love, I can’t pass two days in a stretch without writing/painting (cyber), just feel empty like lovers do when their lovers are away on a tour!
Even though I am thoroughly enjoying self-publishing with amazon, but if you like my work and want to publish my works in your magazine, books or better if you want to publish a book of my works please make me very happy by contacting me.
Or if you want to sell my works on commission basis only!! contact me, I will be quite relieved. Honestly writing and selling your own work is a very BORING combination. So you are more than welcome!

A cute post:)
thanks a lot V.
They would calling the same thing here…though we finally had some rain not nearly enough after so many years of drought.
hope it will rain there soon, very nicely!
Those must be very smart pigeons. Thirsty too. 🙂
they are not pigeons, what do you call these birds? we call them bulbuls, I will check out and share their English name. they are tiny and pretty birds, whistle very sweetly.
I think they’re called bulbuls in English too, but we don’t have them around here. There are so many types of birds I don’t know.
I know most of the birds of west Bengal plains (common ones), there are very rare I cant recognize.
A delightful subject beautifully expressed. Thank you.
I have been thinking about you all this time, it is so hard to use phone to browse and navigate!
love.
They are “Bulbuls” in South Africa too so….nicepost.
Thanks for the info Bruce. they are feisty little birds, are they quite common there too?
