Coconut tree

coconut tree

Blue satin
Stitched with white lace
Spread far and wide
Resting against blue sky.

White sand reaches out
To feel its satin touch
A solitary coconut tree
Stands tall, looks beyond.

A green island far away
Covered with tall coconut groves
The ocean wind plays messenger
Shares their stories.

As it comes rushing across the sea,
Teasing, creating waves and ripples
To softly ruffle the trees
And share his stories.

Waves come
Waves go
Wind whispers
Stories and tales
Fables reach out
From the land
Reaches the ear
Of ocean waves
Coconut groves
Whisper words
In the ears
Of rushing waves

      1. West Bengal! I researched your province on the Internet and see that West Bengal is a province of India and that it is in or near the Himalaya Mountains. I am just blown away! What beauty must surround you there all the time. Blessings to you… I don’t think I’ve ever seen a coconut tree.

      2. a little bit of it touches Himalaya, but the mountains are not as gorgeous as Kashmir or some other provinces. But our state is green, full of greenery- a real blessing for eyes.

  1. I could see myself on those white sandy beaches with coconut trees, wearing no shirt all day long and just shorts….cool evening breezes to enjoy a roast and melt while watching the sunset..I want to go so bad Golden Lotus of God’s Love…you have magic in your poems…

    Love, 🙂

    1. their leaves look very attractive, i love their drawing like look.

i love coconut water very much but not the pulp. bengalis are crazy for that pulp, they add it to every thing. 🙂
