waves come and go

wave comes and go on the shore of life
some come with beautiful conch shells
others come empty handed
some leave destruction behind
sometimes they sing soothing lullaby
sometimes they roar like death himself
freezing every soul that could grasp
the power hidden behind that menacing roar.

  1. Reblogged this on the secret keeper and commented:
One thinks of a wave as something with a soothing sound but not always is it only harmless and a sound we love to hear and something we enjoy walking through. It is at times so destructive and takes away life and property and pounds down upon the land with such a great roar that it wipes out everything in its path. Well said Sharmishtha. A well thought out poem with great depth. jk the secret keeper ps. Sharmishtha is a fine poet. please check out other poems and writings that she creates.
