Better not forget
Everyone has a right
To be happy, dignified,
Better not paint black
On the colours of life.
When you are in pain
Try to remember
Everyone has his share
Of torment and misery
No one is spared.
Don’t let your pain
Unleash the hounds
They have tied down
With great strength of soul
They may rip you apart too.
Sometimes our own pain
Numbs our whole being
And we forget the pain
Which others are going through,
And end up stirring that dead pyre.
Pain, grief, sorrow needs comfort
But try to make that helping hand
Help you stand up on your feet again
Just don’t make it bleed
And regret that it found, helped you.
Some people when they’re going through a tough time, think that it’s only them, or that others will not understand, but your poem state facts.
It’s not only them. They’re not alone. Comfort is needed. Reaching out is fine. Don’t cause other pain.
Don’t wallow in it.
What we do with it determine the outcome.
very true. been there done that and have lost some really good friends
“Better not paint black
On the colours of life” so true. Our pain numbs us to an extent that we forget others and their feelings. You said it best! Great read.
Thanks a lot. we often do it when we are suffering too much.
Every time I go through pain, sorrow, or grief, God always send someone my way who are going through the same things that I went through. Because I had gone through the same things I could honestly say to them, I know what you are going through, and could truly help them. Pain, grief, and sorrow are all part of life, and will make us stronger, and give us true understanding of what others are feeling when our time comes to give a helping hand. Examples: You don’t know what it is like to have cancer, if you have never been through it. You don’t know what it is like to lose a brother, sister, Father, Mother, child, husband, wife, or anyone close to you, if you have never loss one. You don’t know what it is like to give up an addiction, if you have never given up one. Good can come from all things, if we will let them.
i may not know a lot of things but i know one thing for sure that you are a darling angel. and i would have loved to be somewhere where i could see and talk with you.
i agree to each and every word of yours- i too have seen that people drop out of blue to help me when i am in really serious trouble.
now, slowly with maturity i have placed almost all my love and faith on God, the turmoil inside has miraculously stopped ever since. but earlier when i was fighting Godsent angels were always there to help.
and i strongly believe that you are one of them.
lots of love.
I have some,
hard to avoid…
u r apt and able to see and express anything or everything.
beautiful poem!
thats exactly what i meant to say, you are so happy and cheerful that people will think that god gives you only good things, thats not true, you have exactly equal share of pain with most of us. but you know to let them fly away.
Very good!
Peace,
Laz
thanks a lot laz.
The pit of your heart catches pain
It tries so deep to make you disdain
It ties you emotions up in knots
If you keep it with you it has a thickened plot
But there is a way to make it released
And that is to become calm and still in your ease

thank you for the nominations!
exceptional job!
you are really sweet. i think i make the biggest lists in all nominations
Your poem reminds me of the wisdom of Thich Nhat Hahn who said (and I paraphrase) that anger is a seed inside of us that needs our nourishment, our parenting, rather than to be neglected or ignored. We all have joys and sorrows. And it is through both that we all connect and that we all see the beauty of life. Kudos!
those are priceless words- thanks for sharing them.
Happy Monday!
Thank you for all the encouraging comments..
u rock!
